This is a webinar information session for counsellors, therapists and carers.

What is EMDR?

 

EMDR Stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. It can help remove 'blocks' or imbalances in the brain's information processing system so that the body's natural healing processes can begin to work properly.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Rich Greete (USA)

MA.Counselling. M.Div 

Presenter

 

Rich Greete is a licensed mental health counsellor in the State of Florida, a Certified EMDR Therapist, and Facilitator with EMDRHAP training organisation.  He has an MA in Counselling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL,  M.Div. from Trinity International University, and a BA from Columbia International University.  

 

After church planting in Japan for 15 years, he returned to the US and became a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor. He has been in private practice since 2005 and currently works as a counsellor for Mission to the World, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia. He specialises in trauma counselling using EMDR. He has taught the principles and skills that he has developed in Central America, South America, Africa, and SE Asia.  He is currently providing consultation for newly trained EMDR therapists in Japan, Columbia and the USA. Rich has been married to his wife for 37 years and they have three adult children and one grandchild.
